Unit Rig

Terex Mining's Unit Rig division offers a complete range of mining trucks from 120 to 240 ton capacity. Many customers however, wanted to go larger. With the tire technology improving, offering the wide base tire 55/80R63 to handle the additional load, bigger trucks were possible. The MT5500 got its name from this tire size, as do all other Unit Rig trucks.
