DEFUZER VALVE
DEFUZE the Bomb!
RIMEX' continued commitment to industry safety has led to the development of the DE-FUZER Valve.
The DE-FUZER Valve is a temperature sensitive pressure relief valve (200° F, 190 PSI) designed to release potentially lethal air pressure build-up before catastrophic failures can occur.
The DE-FUZER Valve can be easily installed on all off-highway tubeless rims or wheels 25" diameter and greater. RIMEX offers the DE-FUZER Valve as an option on all MES and TSR Series wheels and, rims.
WARNING!
The RIMEX DE-FUZER valve is an integral valve complete with rupture disc otherwise known as a Tite Seal Assembly. The Tite Seal Assembly must be installed by a trained and skilled person(s), who are familiar with rupture discs, and have experience working with tire and wheel rim assemblies. The rupture disc is designed to be used on tire/wheel rim assemblies of 25" diameter or greater. The Tite Seal Assembly should be replaced if it ruptures, is worn, damaged, corroded, or if the rupture disc shows signs of "creep" or fatigue. Do not try to repair or tamper with this device. This is a safety device designed to help prevent serious injury or death. Improper installation may lead to serious injury or death.
Customer and/or its installer shall be responsible for the proper installation of Seller's Tite Seal Assembly. Customer and/or its installer shall be responsible for improper installation and physical damage resulting from there, including, but not limited to, damage resulting from leakage, improper torquing and failure to follow installation instructions. The limited warranty hereinabove set forth shall not apply to any of Seller's products, which are improperly installed.
A rupture disc is a temperature sensitive device. The burst pressure of the rupture disc is directly affected by its exposure to the coincident temperature. Generally, as the temperature at the rupture disc increases, the burst pressure decreases, inversely, as the temperature at the rupture disc decreases, the burst pressure may increase. The burst pressure of this rupture disc is approximately 190 PSI at 200° F in dynamic application.
The instantaneous release of pressure from a rupture disc can create loud noises. The Customer and/or user shall be responsible for calculating the sonic velocity and for protecting against hearing or any other damage to bystanders from this loud noise.
Particles may be discharged when the disc ruptures. Such particles may be part of the rupture disc itself or other environmental matter in the system. Do not remove the Thermo Plastic Outlet Cap, designed to reduce the risk of personal injury from discharged particles. The Customer and/or user shall be responsible for assuring that these particles are directed into a safe area to prevent personal injury or damage to equipment or any other property damage.
There is no guarantee of rupture disc life. Such life span is affected by corrosion, creep, fatigue and physical damage. These conditions will de-rate the disc to a lower set pressure. The Customer and/or user should be prepared to handle a premature failure of the rupture disc. The media or other environmental conditions should not allow any build-up or solidification of media to occur on a rupture disc. Do not remove the Thermo Plastic Outlet Cap, as this helps prevent the build up of media on the rupture disc. This may increase the pressure setting of the rupture disc.
